Looks like I'm getting a lot of interest in the tournament! Then, it's official, I will be hosting an OC tournament in the universe of Galleria!

The world of Galleria has many layers. The surface of the planet is a seemingly endless desert pierced here and there with old, eroded mountains and deep rocky valleys. Villages cling to these features like limpets cling to boats, and the rare river or oasis is a treasure to all who settle there. Dangerous beasts roam the sands of Galleria, like the monstrous Graghyena, a scavenger the size of a small bear, or the sandgator, which is very much like regular gators except in the sand. If the desert and its many perils don't kill you, bandits might take care of you instead!

However, the planet is not a complete wasteland. The slow drifting sky islands are, compared to the scorching sands of the surface, truly paradisiac. Ambiant air is humid and cool, plant life is common, and there are even a few rare trees on isolated archipelagoes. However, the hazards are just as plenty here: sky pirates, flying sharks, and of course, the ever-present looming menace of the expanding Ryukin empire...

There is a third layer to the planet, but it is misunderstood and very seldom thought about. After all, no one is that eager to know just what is hidden under the deep, deep sands... Some would be a little bit surprised.


I will be posting regular updates about the world itself. For those who choose to pick a character from the official Galleria races (all under the Galleria-related sub-gallery!), I'd like a short background story. For those who decide to go with a human or even something else, why not, I will need to know how your character got there! You may even use that as your "application" comic. If you have any questions, please send me a note!

Depending on how many people end up entering, there will be a certain number of spots available. 8 for a small tournament, although I'd much rather have a 16-characters tournament... or more!
